Winnipeg Blue Bombers CFL Football Team 2000 Season

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers CFL football team trounced
the Toronto Argonauts 59-13 in this pre-season game held June
27th, 2000. The Bombers looked impressive, and, if this
game is any indication, should have an awesome season!
The Argos seemed to have trouble in all aspects of their

| The Calgary Stampeders defeated the Winnipeg Blue
Bombers 42-38, in the Bombers season opener held July 14th,
2000. It was a heartbreaking overtime loss, as the Bombers
led throughout the game, but the Stampeders came back to tie
late in the fourth quarter. |

In yet another exciting game, the
Bombers came close...but ended up losing 33-31 to the Montreal
Alouettes on July 28th, 2000. . |

The Bombers defeated the BC Lions 31-16 on
August 4, 2000! Sure...we missed the only game that the
Big Blue won, since we were at Minnedosa
Classic Rock! |

|
The Big Blue came up big against the Hamilton
Tigercats on August 25th, defeating them 38-33. We'll be
adding photos from the Ticat Game shortly. Announced
attendance was 29,082, the best since 1994...could the fans know
something was up? |

Kerwin Bell made his triumphant return to
Winnipeg Stadium September 16th, leading the Argonauts to a
24-12 victory over the Blue Bombers. |

Khari Jones led the Blue to a 30-27
win over the Montreal Alouettes on September 16th. The key
play was late in the game when the Bombers blocked a punt, and
ran it into the end zone for a touchdown. |

| In yet another exciting game, the Big
Blue defeated the Saskatchewan Rough Riders 38-30 on September
29th. |

|
|
The Bombers clinched a playoff spot for the
first time since 1996 with a 30-18 win over the Edmonton Eskimos
on November 3rd.
