Simon Whitfield took the bronze medal at the 1999 Pan American Games in
Winnipeg. This event was a qualifying event for the 2000 Olympics to be
held in Sydney, Australia.

The Triathlon is a test of fitness and stamina - triathletes
must swim 1.5 kilometres, bicycle 40km, and finish with a 10km run. The
